As the current Vice Director for Nursing and Midwifery Education and Services at Madda Walabu University Goba Referral Hospital, he has demonstrated expertise in perioperative nursing, prevention of infection, and ICU care. His research interests include occupational health, infectious diseases, and health among older persons with the aim of optimizing clinical outcomes and public health policy. Daniel advocates for evidence-based practice, education, and inter-professionalism. He has worked with major global partners like WHO, Save the Children, and Merlin in improving the quality and access to healthcare in Ethiopia.
