1. Editorial Responsibilities

2. Peer Review Management

  • Assign manuscripts to qualified reviewers with expertise in the subject area.
  • Ensure the double-blind peer review process is followed consistently.
  • Monitor reviewer performance, providing feedback when necessary, and avoiding repeated use of reviewers with poor-quality or biased evaluations.
  • Encourage constructive, respectful, and timely reviews.

3. Decision-Making

  • Make clear, evidence-based editorial decisions (Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, Reject) based on reviewer reports and personal assessment.
  • Provide authors with transparent and well-reasoned feedback to guide improvements.
  • Ensure revisions are adequately addressed before final acceptance.

4. Ethical Considerations

  • Identify and address potential conflicts of interest (financial, professional, or personal) and reassign manuscripts if necessary.
  • Be alert to potential issues of plagiarism, duplicate publication, or unethical research practices.
  • Refer ethical concerns to the Editorial Board or the Publisher when required, following COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines.

5. Communication and Collaboration

  • Act as a liaison between authors, reviewers, and the editorial office to facilitate smooth communication.
  • Promote collaboration and uphold the reputation of the journal by encouraging submissions of innovative and impactful research.
  • Participate in editorial board meetings and contribute to policy discussions when invited.

6. Timeliness

  • Strive to ensure that the peer review and decision-making process is completed within a reasonable timeframe, balancing speed with thoroughness.
  • Communicate promptly with authors and reviewers regarding delays or issues.

7. Continuous Improvement

  • Stay updated with developments in organic and inorganic chemistry to ensure informed editorial oversight.
  • Recommend strategies for enhancing the journal’s quality, visibility, and indexing.
  • Support outreach efforts by suggesting potential reviewers, special issues, and emerging research areas.
