The Journal of Organic and Inorganic Chemistry (JOIC) is an open access journal, ensuring that all published articles are freely accessible to readers worldwide. To support the costs of editorial handling, peer review, production, and online dissemination, the journal requires an Article Processing Charge (APC) for accepted manuscripts.

1. Purpose of APC

The APC helps JOIC maintain high-quality publication standards by covering:

  • Rigorous peer review management
  • Professional copyediting and formatting
  • Digital publication with global accessibility
  • Long-term archiving and indexing in reputable databases
  • Development and maintenance of the journal website and submission system

2. APC Amount

  • The Standard article processing charges are 1229 Euros and these APCs are exclusive of any applicable taxes.

Note: Charges apply only after a manuscript has been accepted for publication following peer review.

3. Payment Methods

  • Payments can be made securely via credit/debit card, bank transfer, or online payment gateway.
  • Detailed instructions will be provided upon acceptance of the manuscript.

4. Waivers and Discounts

  • JOIC offers partial or full waivers in certain cases, particularly for authors from low-income countries or institutions with limited funding.
  • Authors seeking a waiver must submit a request with justification during the submission or after acceptance.
  • All waiver requests are reviewed by the editorial office and decided at the discretion of the Editor-in-Chief.

5. Transparency

  • The APC ensures transparent and fair funding of the publication process without compromising editorial independence.
  • Authors retain full copyright of their work under a Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY), allowing free sharing and reuse with proper attribution.

6. Withdrawal Policy

SCICONX Publishing respects authors’ rights to request manuscript withdrawal but emphasizes that such requests should be made responsibly due to the significant time and resources invested by editors, reviewers, and the publishing team. Authors may withdraw their manuscript without penalty before peer review begins. During peer review, a valid reason—such as ethical concerns, duplication, or submission errors—must be provided. Post-acceptance withdrawal is strongly discouraged, and submitting the same manuscript to another journal without proper justification is considered unethical and may be reported. To offset editorial and processing efforts, a withdrawal fee equivalent to 40% of the Article Processing Charge (APC) may be applied for requests made after peer review starts. The Editorial Office retains the right to approve or decline withdrawal requests, particularly in cases of suspected misconduct or duplication. SCICONX encourages authors to thoroughly evaluate the journal’s scope and policies prior to submission to minimize unnecessary withdrawal requests, ensuring a smooth and ethical publishing process. For further inquiries regarding APC or payment procedures, please contact: editorialoffice@sciconx.org
