Instructions for Authors

We welcome high-quality submissions that advance our understanding of neurodegenerative diseases and brain research. All manuscripts should be submitted in accordance with the guidelines outlined below to ensure a smooth and efficient peer review process.

1. Article Types Accepted

We consider the following types of submissions:

  • Original Research Articles
  • Review Articles
  • Systematic Reviews & Meta-Analyses
  • Case Reports
  • Short Communications
  • Technical Notes
  • Editorials (by invitation only)
  • Letters to the Editor

2. Manuscript Preparation

Language

All submissions must be written in clear, concise, and grammatically correct English.

Structure of Original Articles

  • Title Page (title, author names, affiliations, corresponding author details)
  • Abstract (250 words max; structured: Background, Methods, Results, Conclusion)
  • Keywords (3–6 relevant terms)
  • Introduction
  • Materials and Methods
  • Results
  • Discussion
  • Conclusion
  • Acknowledgments (if applicable)
  • Conflict of Interest Statement
  • References (Vancouver or AMA style)

Figures and Tables

  • Must be high-resolution and embedded within the manuscript.
  • Legends should be concise and placed below each figure or table.
  • Authors must have rights or permissions to reuse published materials.

3. Submission Format

  • Submit as a Word document (.doc or .docx)
  • Use standard fonts (e.g., Times New Roman, 12 pt) and double line spacing
  • Number pages consecutively

4. Submission Process

All manuscripts should be submitted electronically via the journal’s online submission portal.

5. Ethical Guidelines

  • All studies involving human or animal subjects must include ethics committee approval and consent statements.
  • Authors must disclose any conflicts of interest and funding sources.
  • Plagiarism or data fabrication will result in immediate rejection.

6. Authorship Criteria

All listed authors must meet the ICMJE authorship criteria:

  • Significant contribution to the conception, design, data acquisition, or analysis
  • Drafting or critically revising the manuscript
  • Approval of the final version
  • Accountability for all aspects of the work

7. Peer Review Process

JNDBR follows a double-blind peer review process. Please remove identifying information from the main manuscript to maintain anonymity during review.

8. Revisions

Authors will receive reviewer comments and are expected to respond thoroughly and clearly mark all revisions in the updated manuscript.
