Aim and Scope

The Journal of Neurodegenerative Disorders & Brain Research (JNDBR) is dedicated to advancing scientific knowledge in the field of neurodegeneration and brain research through the publication of high-quality, peer-reviewed, open access articles.

✦ Aim

Our aim is to serve as a leading platform for the dissemination of cutting-edge research that explores the pathogenesis, diagnosis, progression, and treatment of neurodegenerative disorders. We seek to support the scientific and medical communities in their quest to understand the complex mechanisms underlying brain diseases and to develop innovative therapeutic strategies that can improve patient outcomes and quality of life.

✦ Scope

The journal welcomes original research, reviews, systematic analyses, clinical studies, case reports, and technical notes in the following areas, but not limited to:

  • Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s disease, ALS, and prion diseases
  • Multiple sclerosis and other inflammatory or demyelinating disorders
  • Cognitive and memory dysfunction in aging and neurodegeneration
  • Molecular and cellular mechanisms of neurodegeneration
  • Neuroimmunology and neuroinflammation
  • Neurogenetics and epigenetics
  • Biomarkers and diagnostic tools
  • Neuroimaging and brain mapping
  • Therapeutic strategies, including drug discovery, gene therapy, and regenerative approaches
  • Experimental models of neurodegenerative disease
  • Neuropharmacology and neurotoxicology
  • Neuropathology and tissue-based studies
  • Brain–gut–microbiota axis in neurodegenerative conditions
  • Artificial intelligence and machine learning in neurodiagnostic
  • Clinical trials and emerging interventions

We invite contributions from researchers, clinicians, and interdisciplinary scientists worldwide, promoting collaborative efforts and translating laboratory findings into clinical impact. Our journal aims to foster global dialogue and innovation in the fight against progressive neurological disorders.
