To ensure a smooth review and publication process, authors are requested to follow the guidelines outlined below.
1. Manuscript Types
JPCB accepts the following types of submissions:
- Original Research Articles: Full-length reports presenting novel research with substantial scientific impact.
- Review Articles: Comprehensive overviews of current trends, challenges, and advancements in pharmaceutical chemistry, biopharmaceutics, and related disciplines.
- Short Communications: Brief reports of significant findings, innovations, or preliminary studies.
- Case Studies / Reports / Presentations: Detailed analyses of unique clinical or experimental cases with implications for pharmaceutical development.
- Perspective / Opinion Articles: Critical insights on emerging trends, innovative methodologies, or future directions in pharmaceutical research.
2. General Manuscript Preparation Guidelines

- Manuscripts must be written in clear, concise English.
- All submissions should be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.
- Manuscripts should include the following sections (unless otherwise specified for a particular article type):
- Title Page – Title, author names, affiliations, corresponding author details.
- Abstract – Maximum 250 words summarizing objectives, methods, key results, and conclusions.
- Keywords – 4–6 relevant terms to facilitate indexing and discovery.
- Introduction – Background, problem statement, and study objectives.
- Materials and Methods – Detailed procedures to ensure reproducibility.
- Results – Clear presentation of findings with tables, figures, or illustrations.
- Discussion – Interpretation, significance, and implications of results.
- Conclusion – Concise summary highlighting the impact of the study.
- Acknowledgments – Optional, to mention funding sources or contributions.
- References – Properly formatted and cited consistently.
3. Figures, Tables, and Illustrations
- Figures must be high-resolution (minimum 300 dpi) and submitted in formats such as JPEG, PNG, or TIFF.
- Tables should be numbered consecutively and include a descriptive title.
- Figures and Tables must be referenced in the text in numerical order.
- Legends should be self-explanatory, providing sufficient detail for comprehension without referring to the main text.
4. References
- Authors must use a consistent referencing style throughout the manuscript.
- Recommended styles include Vancouver or APA formats.
- All cited references must be included in the reference list, and all references in the list must be cited in the manuscript.
5. Ethical Guidelines
- Human Studies: Research involving human participants must comply with the Declaration of Helsinki and receive ethical approval from an institutional review board. Written informed consent must be obtained.
- Animal Studies: Experiments involving animals must comply with national and institutional guidelines for the care and use of laboratory animals.
- Conflict of Interest: Authors must declare any financial or personal conflicts of interest.
- Funding Sources: All financial support, grants, or sponsorships must be disclosed.
- Publication Ethics: JPCB follows COPE and ICMJE standards. Plagiarism, duplicate submissions, or data falsification are strictly prohibited.
6. Manuscript Submission Process
- Manuscripts should be submitted online via the JPCB submission portal.
- Each manuscript undergoes an initial editorial check for scope, originality, and adherence to guidelines.
- Eligible manuscripts are sent for rigorous double-blind peer review by subject experts.
- Authors may receive revision requests before final acceptance.
- Accepted manuscripts undergo professional copyediting, formatting, and online publication.
7. Open Access and Article Processing Charges (APC)
- JPCB is a fully open-access journal, ensuring that all published articles are freely accessible worldwide.
- To support the editorial and publication process, authors may be required to pay a nominal APC.
8. Post-Acceptance Process
- Upon acceptance, authors will receive a provisional acceptance letter.
