Instructions for Authors

The Journal of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (JNN) welcome submissions of high-quality original research articles, reviews, short communications, and perspectives in all areas of nanoscience and nanotechnology. To ensure a smooth and efficient submission and review process, authors are requested to carefully follow the guidelines outlined below.

1. Article Types Accepted

JNN publishes the following categories of articles:

  • Original Research Articles – Comprehensive studies presenting new findings.
  • Review Articles – Critical and systematic overviews of recent advances.
  • Short Communications – Concise reports on novel findings of immediate significance.
  • Perspectives & Opinions – Expert viewpoints on emerging trends and future directions.

2. Manuscript Preparation

General Format

  • Manuscripts must be submitted in English.
  • Use Times New Roman, 12-point font, double-spaced with margins of at least 2.5 cm.
  • Submit in Word (DOC/DOCX) format; PDF files are not accepted for initial submission.
  • Include line numbers to facilitate the review process.

✍️ Structure of Manuscript

  1. Title Page
    • Title of the article (concise and informative)
    • Full names of all authors with affiliations
    • Corresponding author’s email address
  2. Abstract
    • 200–300 words, summarizing the purpose, methods, results, and conclusions.
    • Include 3–6 keywords for indexing.
  3. Main Text
    • Introduction: Background, rationale, and objectives
    • Materials and Methods: Clear and reproducible methodology
    • Results: Present findings with appropriate figures/tables
    • Discussion: Interpretation, implications, and comparison with existing literature
    • Conclusion: Key outcomes and future directions
  4. Acknowledgments (if applicable)
  5. References
    • Use the APA style (7th edition) or journal-specific style provided upon acceptance.
    • Ensure accuracy and completeness of all citations.
  6. Figures and Tables
    • High-resolution images (minimum 300 dpi) in JPEG, PNG, or TIFF format.
    • Tables should be editable (not images) and numbered consecutively.

3. Ethical Considerations

  • Authors must ensure originality of their work; plagiarism will not be tolerated.
  • Studies involving humans or animals must include approval from an ethics committee.
  • Conflicts of interest must be clearly declared.

4. Submission Process

  • Manuscripts should be submitted via the journal’s online submission system (link will be provided on the journal website).
  • The corresponding author will receive an acknowledgment email upon successful submission.
  • All submissions undergo initial editorial screening followed by double-blind peer review.

5. Article Processing Charges (APCs)

As an open-access journal, JNN applies Article Processing Charges (APCs) to cover editorial, peer review, and publishing costs. Detailed information regarding APCs can be found on the Article Processing Charges page.

6. Copyright and Licensing

  • Authors retain the copyright of their published work.
  • Articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY), allowing unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction with proper citation.
