The SCICONX Journal of Endocrine and Diabetic Health (JEDH) welcomes high-quality submissions that advance research, clinical practice, and scientific understanding in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolic health. To ensure a smooth and efficient publication experience, authors are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the journal’s manuscript submission process outlined below.

Our submission system is designed to be transparent, user-friendly, and supportive at every stage - from preparing your manuscript to receiving the final decision.

1. Preparing Your Manuscript

Before submitting, authors should ensure that the manuscript is prepared according to:

  • Ethical approval statements
  • Conflict of interest declarations
  • Funding statements
  • Cover letter (recommended but optional)

All submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under review elsewhere.

2. Creating an Account and Logging In

Authors must create an account on the journal’s submission portal. During registration, authors are required to provide:

  • Full name
  • Institutional affiliation
  • Email address
  • ORCID iD (recommended)

Returning users may simply log in to proceed with their submission.

3. Starting a New Submission

After logging in, authors may select “Submit New Manuscript” and choose the appropriate article type, such as:

  • Original Research
  • Review Article
  • Short Communication
  • Case Report
  • Clinical Study
  • Systematic Review/Meta-analysis
  • Letter to the Editor

The system will guide you step-by-step through the submission workflow.

4. Uploading Manuscript Files

Authors are required to upload all relevant files in the appropriate formats. Typical uploads include:

Mandatory Files

  • Main Manuscript Document (anonymous, without author details)
  • Title Page with author names, affiliations, and corresponding author details
  • Abstract and keywords
  • Figures (high-resolution)
  • Tables (editable formats preferred)

Additional Required Files

  • Ethical approval letters (if applicable)
  • Patient consent forms (for case reports or identifiable data)
  • Conflict of interest declarations
  • Funding statements
  • Cover letter

Optional Files

  • Supplementary data
  • Multimedia content
  • Graphical abstract

The submission system automatically checks for missing items and guides authors accordingly.

5. Declaration of Originality and Ethical Compliance

Before finalizing your submission, the system may ask you to confirm that:

  • The manuscript is original and not under review elsewhere
  • All data is accurate and ethically obtained
  • All authors have approved the submission
  • Conflicts of interest are transparently disclosed
  • Ethical guidelines for human or animal research have been followed

Manuscripts that do not comply with ethical standards may be rejected during initial screening.

6. Reviewing and Confirming Submission Details

Authors will have the opportunity to:

  • Review the metadata entered (title, authors, affiliations, keywords)
  • Modify or reorder authors
  • Ensure that all files have been uploaded correctly

The system provides a final preview of the submission package before you click “Submit Manuscript.”

7. Submission Acknowledgment

Once the manuscript is submitted successfully:

  • Authors receive an acknowledgment email
  • A unique manuscript ID is generated
  • The submission is automatically routed to the Editorial Office

Authors can track their manuscript’s progress at any time using the tracking dashboard.

8. Initial Editorial Screening

The Editorial Office conducts a preliminary assessment to ensure:

  • Relevance to the journal’s scope
  • Compliance with formatting guidelines
  • Ethical and plagiarism checks
  • Basic scientific suitability

Manuscripts that meet the criteria are forwarded to an Editor. Those that do not may be desk-rejected with supportive feedback.

9. Peer Review Allocation

The assigned Editor selects 2–3 qualified reviewers with expertise in the subject area.
The review process is:

  • Double-blind (authors and reviewers remain anonymous)
  • Objective and constructive
  • Designed to improve the scientific quality of submissions

Authors are encouraged to suggest potential reviewers during submission; however, the final selection remains at the Editor’s discretion.

10. Revision Process

If revisions are required:

  • Authors receive detailed reviewer comments
  • A revision deadline is provided
  • Revised manuscripts must include:
    • A tracked-changes version
    • A clean version
    • A point-by-point response to reviewers

Revisions may undergo additional rounds of review depending on the extent of changes.

11. Final Decision

After the peer review and revision stages, the Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision:

  • Accept
  • Minor Revision
  • Major Revision
  • Reject

Acceptance is based strictly on scientific merit, clarity, ethical standards, and contribution to the field.

12. Post-Acceptance Workflow

Once accepted, the manuscript proceeds to:

  • Technical editing
  • Typesetting
  • Proofreading
  • Author proof corrections
  • Final online publication

Authors receive their article proofs and must review them carefully to ensure accuracy.

13. Tracking Your Manuscript

Authors can track their manuscript status in real time, including:

  • Under review
  • Reviewer comments received
  • Revision required
  • Editor decision
  • Accepted
  • In production

The system ensures transparency throughout the entire workflow.

14. Communication and Support

The Editorial Office is available to assist authors with:
