The SCICONX Journal of Endocrine and Diabetic Health (JEDH) is committed to maintaining a transparent, ethical, and sustainable open-access publishing environment. As an independent, non-funded academic publisher, the journal operates solely through the support of contributing authors whose Article Processing Charges (APCs) enable us to uphold rigorous peer-review standards, maintain professional editorial workflows, and ensure global accessibility of published research.
Our APC structure is designed to be fair, reasonable, and supportive of authors while covering the essential costs associated with high-quality scholarly publishing.
1. Why Article Processing Charges Are Required
As an open-access journal, JEDH does not charge readers or institutions for accessing published content. Instead, we apply a publication model that shifts the cost burden away from readers and libraries, allowing unrestricted global access to all articles.
APCs directly support:
Peer Review & Editorial Management
Production & Technical Processing
Platform Maintenance & Long-Term Preservation
Administrative & Operational Costs
APCs ensure the journal remains free to read, globally accessible, and professionally managed without institutional or external funding.
2. APC Structure
Note: Charges apply only after a manuscript has been accepted for publication following peer review.
3. Payment Process
Once an article is accepted:
Invoices include complete institutional details for reimbursement or grant reporting.
4. APC Refund Policy
APCs are refundable only in rare cases, such as:
No refunds are issued after the article enters the production stage or is published.
5. Withdrawal Policy
SCICONX Publishing respects authors’ rights to request manuscript withdrawal but emphasizes that such requests should be made responsibly due to the significant time and resources invested by editors, reviewers, and the publishing team. Authors may withdraw their manuscript without penalty before peer review begins. During peer review, a valid reason—such as ethical concerns, duplication, or submission errors—must be provided. Post-acceptance withdrawal is strongly discouraged, and submitting the same manuscript to another journal without proper justification is considered unethical and may be reported. To offset editorial and processing efforts, a withdrawal fee equivalent to 40% of the Article Processing Charge (APC) may be applied for requests made after peer review starts. The Editorial Office retains the right to approve or decline withdrawal requests, particularly in cases of suspected misconduct or duplication. SCICONX encourages authors to thoroughly evaluate the journal’s scope and policies prior to submission to minimize unnecessary withdrawal requests, ensuring a smooth and ethical publishing process.

Our APC model is entirely transparent, and no hidden or supplementary charges apply at any stage.
