Instructions for Authors

We welcome submissions from researchers, clinicians, academicians, trialists, and regulatory professionals whose work contributes to the advancement of clinical research. To ensure a smooth and efficient publication process, authors are advised to carefully review and follow the guidelines below before submitting their manuscript to the Journal of Clinical Trials.

✦ Manuscript Preparation

 General Format

  • File type: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx)
  • Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt
  • Line spacing: Double
  • Margins: 1 inch (2.54 cm) on all sides
  • Page numbers: Bottom-right corner

Manuscript Structure

  • Title Page
    • Title of the manuscript
    • Author(s) full name, affiliation, email
    • Corresponding author’s contact details
    • Trial registration number (if applicable)
  • Abstract (250–300 words)
    • Structured format: Background, Methods, Results, Conclusion
    • Include 4–6 keywords
  • Main Text
    • Original Articles: Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion
    • Other formats should follow discipline-specific structures
  • Acknowledgments
    • Funding sources, institutional support, contributors, etc.
  • References
    • Use Vancouver style. Cite using superscript numbers in the order of appearance.
  • Figures & Tables
    • High-resolution (300 dpi) images
    • Tables editable in Word, not as images
    • Each figure/table should be referenced in the text and submitted separately as supplementary files.

✦ Clinical Trial Registration

All interventional clinical trials must be prospectively registered in a public trial registry (e.g., ClinicalTrials.gov). The registration ID should be included in the abstract and methods section.

✦ Ethical Compliance

Manuscripts involving human participants must include a statement of approval from an appropriate ethics committee and confirmation of informed consent. For vulnerable populations, additional safeguards must be detailed.

All submissions undergo a double-blind peer review process. Authors are required to suggest at least two potential reviewers (not from the same institution).

⏱️ Review & Publication Timeline

  • Initial Editorial Decision: ~7 days
  • Peer Review Completion: ~14 - 21 days
  • Online Publication (post-acceptance): ~7–10 days

✦ Article Processing Charges (APCs)

The Journal of Clinical Trials operates under an open-access model. APC details will be communicated upon acceptance.
