At the Journal of Clinical Trials, we believe in accelerating the dissemination of high-quality, peer-reviewed clinical research without restrictions. To support open access publishing and maintain the highest editorial and production standards, we charge a one-time Article Processing Charge (APC) for accepted manuscripts.

✳️ Why APCs Are Necessary

As an open access journal, we do not charge readers or institutions for access. Instead, the APC covers:

  • Rigorous peer review process
  • Editorial and production workflow
  • Manuscript formatting and typesetting
  • Online hosting and global visibility
  • Long-term digital archiving and indexing
  • DOI assignment and CrossRef registration
  • Editorial office management and communication

✳️ Standard APC Details:

The Standard article processing charges are 1229 Euros and these APCs are exclusive of any applicable taxes.

✳️ Payment Process

  • APCs are payable only after the manuscript is accepted for publication.
  • An invoice will be issued to the corresponding author.
  • Payment can be made via bank transfer, credit/debit card, or institutional payment gateways.

Once payment is confirmed, the article will proceed to production and be published online within 7–10 business days.

⚠️ Important Notes

  • APCs do not influence editorial decisions. All submissions undergo a blinded, objective peer-review process.
  • There are no additional charges for color figures, supplementary files, or page limits.

✳️ Withdrawal Policy

SCICONX Publishing respects authors’ rights to request manuscript withdrawal but emphasizes that such requests should be made responsibly due to the significant time and resources invested by editors, reviewers, and the publishing team. Authors may withdraw their manuscript without penalty before peer review begins. During peer review, a valid reason—such as ethical concerns, duplication, or submission errors—must be provided. Post-acceptance withdrawal is strongly discouraged, and submitting the same manuscript to another journal without proper justification is considered unethical and may be reported. To offset editorial and processing efforts, a withdrawal fee equivalent to 40% of the Article Processing Charge (APC) may be applied for requests made after peer review starts. The Editorial Office retains the right to approve or decline withdrawal requests, particularly in cases of suspected misconduct or duplication. SCICONX encourages authors to thoroughly evaluate the journal’s scope and policies prior to submission to minimize unnecessary withdrawal requests, ensuring a smooth and ethical publishing process.
