The SCICONX Journal of Immunobiology welcomes high-quality submissions from researchers and clinicians working across all areas of immunology and immunobiological sciences. To ensure smooth processing and timely publication, authors are required to follow the guidelines outlined below. Manuscripts that do not comply with these instructions may be returned for revision before being sent for peer review.
1. Manuscript Categories
The journal accepts the following article types:
1.1 Original Research Articles
Full-length manuscripts presenting novel findings based on systematic scientific investigation.
1.2 Review Articles
Comprehensive, authoritative overviews of established or emerging topics.
1.3 Mini Reviews
Concise reviews addressing focused aspects of immunobiology.
1.4 Short Communications
Brief reports presenting preliminary or significant findings requiring rapid dissemination.
1.5 Case Reports

2. Manuscript Preparation
2.1 General Formatting

- Use Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx).
- Main text should be in Times New Roman, 12-point font.
- Double-spaced throughout, including references and figure captions.
- Pages should be numbered consecutively.
- Use 1-inch (2.54 cm) margins on all sides.
- Follow American English spelling and grammar.
2.2 Manuscript Structure
A standard manuscript should include the following sections in order:
1. Title Page
- Article title (concise, descriptive, informative)
- Full author details:
- Name
- Affiliation(s)
- ORCID iD (recommended)
- Corresponding author email and contact
- Indicate the type of article.
- Add 4–6 keywords.
2. Abstract
- Structured or unstructured (depending on article type).
- Word limit:
- Original Research: 250–300 words
- Review/Mini Review: 200–250 words
- Short Communication: ~150 words
- Should summarize background, methods, results, and conclusion.
3. Introduction
- Background context and rationale.
- State the gap in knowledge and study purpose.
4. Materials and Methods
- Provide sufficient detail for reproducibility.
- Include ethics approval for animal/human studies.
- Mention statistical tools and software.
- Provide accession numbers for data repositories where applicable.
5. Results
- Present findings clearly with appropriate tables/figures.
- Avoid interpretation in this section.
6. Discussion
- Interpret findings in the context of existing literature.
- Discuss strengths, limitations, and future directions.
7. Conclusion
- Concise summary of key outcomes and implications.
8. Acknowledgments
- Mention funding agencies, grants, contributors, etc.
9. Conflicts of Interest
- Declare any potential conflicts, direct or indirect.
10. References
- Use Vancouver style (numbered).
- Ensure accuracy and completeness.
2.3 Figures and Tables
Figures
- High-resolution (minimum 300 dpi)
- Acceptable formats: JPEG, PNG, TIFF
- Number figures consecutively (Fig. 1, Fig. 2, etc.)
- Provide detailed legends under a separate section.
- Avoid embedding text too small to read.
Tables
- Number in sequence (Table 1, Table 2, etc.)
- Provide clear titles and footnotes.
- Do not use vertical lines in tables.
3. Ethical Considerations
3.1 Human Studies
- Must follow the Declaration of Helsinki.
- Require approval from an institutional review board (IRB) or ethics committee.
- Informed consent must be documented.
3.2 Animal Studies
- Require approval from an institutional animal care board.
- Must follow internationally accepted guidelines.
3.3 Data Integrity
- Authors must ensure accurate reporting of data, images, and analyses.
- Manipulation or fabrication is strictly prohibited.
3.4 Clinical Trial Registration
- Clinical trials should be registered in recognized registries (e.g., ClinicalTrials.gov).
4. Plagiarism & Originality Policy
- All submissions undergo strict plagiarism screening.
- The journal follows COPE guidelines on publication ethics.
- Manuscripts with >10% similarity (excluding references) may be returned or rejected.
- Duplicate publication is not permitted.
5. Data Availability
Authors must specify:
- Availability of datasets
- Repositories where data are deposited (if applicable)
- Any restrictions due to confidentiality or ethical reasons

10. Post-Acceptance Workflow

- Authors receive a proof for final corrections
- Final publication appears online as “Ahead of Print”
- Article is added to the current issue
