The SCICONX Journal of Diabetes Research (JDR) welcomes high-quality manuscripts that contribute to the advancement of knowledge in diabetes biology and related disciplines. Authors are encouraged to submit original, well-structured, and ethically sound research that aligns with the journal’s scope.

All submissions must be prepared in accordance with the guidelines provided below to ensure a smooth peer review and publication process.

 Types of Manuscripts Accepted

JDR considers the following categories of submissions:

  • Original Research Articles – Full-length reports of novel scientific findings
  • Review Articles – Comprehensive analyses of current research (systematic or narrative)
  • Mini Reviews – Concise updates on emerging topics
  • Clinical and Experimental Studies – Investigations involving human or laboratory models
  • Case Reports and Case Series – Unique or rare clinical observations
  • Short Communications – Brief reports of significant preliminary findings
  • Editorials, Perspectives, and Commentaries – Expert opinions and scholarly discussions

✦ General Formatting

  • Manuscripts must be written in clear, concise English
  • Use a standard font (e.g., Times New Roman, 12 pt)
  • Double-spacing with adequate margins
  • Pages should be numbered consecutively
  • Use SI units throughout the manuscript

✦ Structure of the Manuscript

1. Title Page

  • Full title of the manuscript (concise and informative)
  • Names of all authors and institutional affiliations
  • Corresponding author details (email, address, contact number)
  • Running title (short title)

2. Abstract

  • Structured or unstructured (depending on article type)
  • Typically, 150–300 words
  • Should briefly describe the background, methods, results, and conclusion
  • Include 3–6 keywords

3. Main Text

For Original Research Articles:

  • Introduction
  • Materials and Methods
  • Results
  • Discussion
  • Conclusion

For Review Articles:

  • Introduction
  • Thematic sections with subheadings
  • Conclusion and future perspectives

4. Acknowledgments

  • Recognize contributions that do not meet authorship criteria
  • Mention funding sources, if applicable

5. Conflict of Interest Statement

  • Authors must disclose any financial or non-financial conflicts

6. References

  • References should be accurate and complete
  • Use a consistent citation style (e.g., Vancouver style recommended)
  • Ensure all references are cited within the text

7. Tables and Figures

  • Must be cited in the text in sequential order
  • Provide clear titles and legends
  • Submit high-resolution figures
  • Avoid duplication of data between text and tables

Supplementary Materials

Authors may submit additional supporting materials such as datasets, figures, or videos. These should enhance the scientific value of the manuscript and will be published online alongside the article.
