Biography

In 1994, Dr. Ozgur Karcioglu started residency at Dokuz Eylul University (DEU) Medical School, Department of Emergency Medicine. He completed the Fellowship Program in International EM at Pennsylvania State University (2005). He has served as the chairman of the department in DEU (2005-2007). He has been in charge of the ED of Bakirkoy Research and Training Hospital (2007-2009), and then a faculty member at Ac?badem University (2009-15). He is currently a full professor and chair at Istanbul Education and Research Hospital in ?stanbul. He has served as a founder and a board member of The Emergency Medical Association of Turkey (2007-2009). Around 240 articles of his were published in international journals. He has contributed to seven books as editor and authored 45 chapters. He serves as a member of the Editorial Board for several journals. He is also an instructor for the American Heart Association's Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support Courses.
