The Journal of Clinical and Translational Immunology (JCTI) provides a streamlined submission system designed to make the publication process efficient, transparent, and author-friendly. All manuscripts must be submitted online and will be processed according to the following steps.
1. Preparing Your Manuscript
Before submission, authors should:
- Carefully review the Instructions for Authors to ensure proper formatting and style.
- Prepare all required sections, including title page, abstract, figures, tables, references, and supplementary files (if applicable).
- Ensure compliance with ethical standards, including approval from ethics committees, informed consent, and adherence to animal welfare regulations.
- Verify originality by checking for plagiarism and confirming that the work has not been published or submitted elsewhere.
2. Online Submission
- Manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s online submission page.
- Authors should create an account, upload their manuscript files, and complete the submission checklist.
- A cover letter must accompany the submission, summarize the significance of the work and confirm that all authors have approved the manuscript.
3. Initial Editorial Screening
- The editorial office conducts a preliminary check for scope, formatting, originality, and ethical compliance.
- Manuscripts that do not meet basic requirements may be returned to authors for correction or declined at this stage.
4. Peer Review Assignment
- Suitable manuscripts are assigned to a Handling Editor.
- The manuscript is then sent to at least two independent expert reviewers under a double-blind peer review process.
5. Peer Review and Decision
- Reviewers provide detailed feedback on the manuscript’s scientific quality, originality, and clarity.
- Based on reviewer recommendations, the editor makes one of the following decisions:
- Accept without changes
- Minor revision
- Major revision (revise and resubmit)
- Reject
6. Revision Process
- Authors invited to revise their manuscript must submit a point-by-point response letter addressing each reviewer’s comment.
- Revised manuscripts are reassessed by editors and, if necessary, returned to reviewers for further evaluation.
7. Final Acceptance
- Once the manuscript satisfies all editorial and reviewer requirements, it is formally accepted for publication.
- Authors receive an official acceptance letter along with details about the production process.
8. Production and Publication
- Accepted manuscripts undergo copyediting, typesetting, and proofreading to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- The final article is published online under an open access license (CC BY), making it freely available to the global scientific community.
9. Post-Publication
- Articles are indexed, archived, and promoted to maximize visibility and citation impact.
- Authors may share their work widely in accordance with the open-access policy.
