Instructions for Authors

The Journal of Clinical and Translational Immunology (JCTI) welcomes submissions of original, high-quality manuscripts that advance the field of immunology and its clinical applications. Authors are requested to carefully review the following guidelines before preparing and submitting their manuscripts. Adherence to these instructions will facilitate efficient review and publication.

1. Article Types:

JCTI accepts the following categories of manuscripts:

  • Original Research Articles - Full-length reports of novel experimental or clinical studies.
  • Review Articles - Comprehensive analyses of emerging topics or established areas in immunology.
  • Short Communications - Concise reports of significant preliminary findings.
  • Case Reports/Case Series - Clinically relevant cases highlighting novel presentations, diagnostics, or therapeutic approaches.
  • Perspectives/Commentaries - Expert opinions, hypotheses, or discussion of current trends.
  • Editorials - Invited contributions on timely issues in immunology.

2. Manuscript Preparation:

2.1 General Formatting

  • Manuscripts should be prepared in English.
  • Use a standard, legible font (e.g., Times New Roman, 12 pt) with double line spacing.
  • Pages should be numbered consecutively.
  • Submit manuscripts in Word (.docx) format.

2.2 Structure of Research Articles

  • Title Page: Article title, full author names, affiliations, corresponding author details, and acknowledgments (if applicable).
  • Abstract: Up to 300 words, structured into Background, Methods, Results, and Conclusion.
  • Keywords: 4-6 keywords for indexing.
  • Introduction: Context, rationale, and objectives of the study.
  • Materials and Methods: Sufficient detail to allow reproducibility.
  • Results: Clear and concise presentation of findings (tables and figures encouraged).
  • Discussion: Interpretation of results, limitations, and implications.
  • Conclusion: Main take-home messages.
  • References: Follow journal-specific style (see Section 2.4).

2.3 Figures and Tables

  • Figures should be submitted in high resolution (JPEG, TIFF, or PNG).
  • Tables should be editable and included within the main manuscript.
  • All figures and tables must be cited in the text.

2.4 References

  • Use Vancouver style (numbered, superscript citations in the text).
  • List references in the order of citation.
  • Provide complete details: author(s), article title, journal name (abbreviated), year, volume, pages, DOI (if available).

3. Ethical Considerations:

  • Authors must confirm that studies involving human participants were conducted in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki and approved by an appropriate ethics committee.
  • Animal studies must comply with institutional and national guidelines.
  • Written informed consent must be obtained for case reports and patient images.
  • Plagiarism, data fabrication, and duplicate submission are strictly prohibited.

4. Submission Process:

  • Manuscripts must be submitted via the online submission page.
  • A cover letter should accompany the submission, summarize the study’s significance and confirm originality.
  • Suggested reviewers may be included at the time of submission.

5. Peer Review:

  • All manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process.
  • Authors may be asked to revise their manuscripts based on reviewer feedback.
  • Final acceptance is at the discretion of the Editor-in-Chief.

6. Article Processing Charges (APC):

  • JCTI is an open-access journal.
  • Accepted articles are subject to an APC to support editorial handling, peer review, and online hosting.

7. Copyright and Licensing:

  • Authors retain copyright under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) License, allowing unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction provided the original work is properly cited.
