1. Before You Submit

Formatting Template (Click here to download).

Authors are strongly encouraged to review the following prior to submission:

  • Journal Aim & Scope
  • Instructions for Authors
  • Editorial Policy
  • Ethical and Data Transparency Requirements

Submitting a manuscript confirms that:

  • The work is original and not under consideration elsewhere.
  • All authors have approved the final version.
  • Ethical approvals (where required) have been obtained.
  • Conflicts of interest have been disclosed.

Failure to meet these requirements may delay review or result in desk rejection.

2. Online Submission System

All manuscripts must be submitted through email or journal’s official online submission system.

The corresponding author must:

  • Create or log into a submission account
  • Enter complete author details
  • Upload required documents
  • Confirm ethical compliance statements

The submission portal allows authors to track manuscript status at every stage.

3. Required Submission Files

To ensure smooth processing, authors must upload the following:

A. Main Manuscript File

  • Title page (if required by journal format)
  • Abstract and keywords
  • Full text (structured appropriately)
  • References
  • Tables and figure legends

The manuscript file must not contain identifying information if the journal follows double-blind review.

B. Cover Letter

The cover letter should include:

  • Brief summary of the study
  • Explanation of its novelty and significance
  • Confirmation of originality
  • Disclosure of conflicts of interest
  • Suggested reviewers (optional, if permitted)

C. Supplementary Materials (if applicable)

  • Raw data
  • Extended methods
  • Additional figures or tables
  • Reporting checklists (CONSORT, ARRIVE, PRISMA, etc.)

D. Ethical Approval Documentation

Where applicable, authors must provide documentation or approval reference numbers.

4. Submission Confirmation

After successful submission:

  • Authors receive an automated acknowledgment email.
  • The manuscript is assigned a unique reference number.
  • Initial technical checks begin within a few working days.

If confirmation is not received, authors should contact the editorial office.

5. Initial Technical Screening

All submissions undergo preliminary screening by the editorial office to verify:

  • Compliance with formatting guidelines
  • Completeness of required documents
  • Ethical statements
  • Similarity index screening
  • Scope alignment

At this stage, manuscripts may be:

  • Returned for technical correction
  • Rejected if outside scope or non-compliant
  • Forwarded to an academic editor for evaluation

This screening does not assess scientific merit in detail.

6. Editorial Assessment

An assigned Academic Editor evaluates:

  • Scientific relevance
  • Novelty
  • Methodological soundness
  • Alignment with journal priorities

The editor may:

  • Reject the manuscript without external review (desk rejection)
  • Send the manuscript for peer review
  • Request clarification prior to review

Authors are informed of the decision promptly.

7. Peer Review Process

Manuscripts passing editorial assessment proceed to structured peer review.

  • Typically, 2-3 independent expert reviewers are invited
  • Reviewers evaluate methodology, originality, clarity, data integrity, and interpretation
  • Constructive feedback is provided

The review process typically takes several weeks, depending on reviewer availability. Authors may track status updates through the submission portal.

8. Editorial Decision Categories

Following peer review, one of the following decisions may be issued:

  • Accept as submitted
  • Minor revision
  • Major revision
  • Reject with encouragement to resubmit
  • Reject

Decision letters include anonymized reviewer comments and editorial guidance.

9. Revision Process

If revisions are requested:

  • Authors must respond point-by-point to all reviewer comments
  • Changes must be clearly highlighted in the revised manuscript
  • A detailed rebuttal letter must be uploaded

Failure to provide a structured response may delay further evaluation. Revised manuscripts may be returned to original reviewers for reassessment.

10. Acceptance and Production

Upon acceptance:

  • The manuscript enters copyediting and typesetting
  • Authors receive page proofs for review
  • Only minor typographical corrections are permitted at proof stage

After final approval, the article is published online with DOI assignment.

11. Publication Timeline

  • Peer Review Completion: 14-21 days
