Commercial considerations, institutional relationships, sponsorships, or Article Processing Charges (APCs) do not influence editorial decisions.

The editorial leadership includes the Editor-in-Chief and supporting editors who are responsible for:

  • Setting the academic direction of the journal
  • Overseeing peer review and editorial workflows
  • Ensuring consistency in editorial standards
  • Making final decisions on manuscript acceptance

Editorial authority is exercised in accordance with this policy and the journal’s broader governance framework.

4. Manuscript Assessment and Decision Criteria

All submitted manuscripts are evaluated based on the following core criteria:

  • Relevance to drug, alcohol, and addiction research
